Apteco Ltd will be demonstrating the latest version of their FastStats marketing data analysis software at this year’s Technology for Marketing and Advertising (TFM&A) exhibition. The latest FastStats software release includes a new Venn diagram visualisation which has been developed using Windows Presentation Foundation (or WPF) to create a rich user interface, not experienced before by users of this type of software.
The updated Venn diagram uses Microsoft’s flagship interface technology and offers FastStats clients new levels of usability and data exploration with a modern twist to this classic and widely used data visualisation.

Our new Venn diagram tool introduces a “Proportion Bar” aiding insight into the distribution of customers or revenue across multiple sets. This is an example of how we are developing FastStats to exceed the visualisation expectations of marketers and in the process setting a new standard for graphical representations within the marketing industry. We will use WPF to enhance other areas of the software, such as charts, decision trees, cubes and data grids in future software releases.”
WPF is a graphical subsystem in the Windows.NET Framework and has a primary goal to help software developers create attractive and effective interfaces that significantly improve the end users’ experience. A WPF interface can combine images, text, 2D and 3D graphics and more in an efficient and highly scalable manner. Some of the technologies it supplants had a twenty-year run as the foundation for Windows user interfaces. The intent of WPF is to lay the foundation for the next twenty years.
