Apteco was pleased to sponsor D&B in the Balkan Bike Challenge 2013 - an adventurous motorbike ride through Eastern Europe.

Last month four Dun & Bradstreet employees embarked on a motorcycle challenge covering 6,500 kilometres and crossing 15 European counties. This challenge is set against the dramatic backdrop of Eastern Europe, passing through areas where the needs of the poorest are far removed from our own.

The aim of this yearly challenge is to create awareness for child issues in Eastern Europe and raise funds to make an important contribution to vulnerable children in this region. Together with clients, suppliers and staff, the D&B team raised €27.000 to support projects of SOS Children’s Villages in Albania, Bulgaria and Romania. The money will go towards health, materials, educational and social support plus social work services. The team visited various SOS projects on their route. "Apteco sincerely hopes that our contribution helps the SOS Children’s Villages charity achieve their vision of helping children in this part of the world. We were glad to hear that the riders completed their journey across the Balkans and that they returned safely! The amount of money raised is a real achievement."
