After 13 years as Apteco’s Training Manager, Robin Prouse is retiring.

Robin ProuseRobin, a graduate of the University of West of England and an MBA in Educational Management joined Apteco in 2005. Robin worked with MD James Alty and the Apteco team even before the company's formation and went on to run FastStats courses all over the UK, Europe and as far afield as the US, Philippines and India.

Throughout his career, Robin has been passionate about educating, encouraging and enabling people to achieve more through high quality training. Before joining Apteco, he worked in various business organisations and eventually trained as a teacher. He spent a number of years teaching and lecturing in Business Marketing and Economics before moving on to train business people in data analytics software. Robin has also worked as a freelance trainer, a training / communications / marketing consultant and a Corporate Business Manager.  At Apteco, Robin has made his mark as a Trainer, Technical Author and Training Manager and he introduced the Accredited Trainer Scheme.

Apteco MD, James Alty says about Robin: “We've always said to Robin that training was an enabler for our main business model of recurring term licenses, but in practice, Robin has ensured that our training services are self-supporting and highly appreciated in their own right. It has been a pleasure to know that Robin and his team produce high quality documentation and high-quality courses that get consistently great scores in customer feedback. It is sad to see Robin leave us, but we wish him well in all that he does in the years to come.

Robin is now looking forward to spending more time renovating his farm house in Somerset, working on various writing projects and getting involved with a local charity.

Di Austin, who has been with Apteco for 6 years, took over the reins of Training Manager on July 1st: "Robin is definitely a hard act to follow, but I’m delighted to take on the mantle.  The training team will be working hard to do Robin and Apteco proud by maintaining and building upon the great standards that Robin has set and continuing to deliver top quality training and resources for new and existing users of the Apteco Marketing Suite."

The Apteco team wish Robin the very best and hope to see him back in Warwick from time to time.
