Pause and resume campaigns
Orbit now allows you to pause and resume your campaigns directly within the journey builder. There are various reasons to stop campaigns from running, such as data issues, logic changes, or a shift in priority. This new functionality puts you in control of campaign management, allowing you to minimise risk and adapt to changing needs.
Live and draft campaign modes
With the new live and draft campaign modes in Apteco Orbit, you now have the ability to visualise and manage your campaigns with improved control, transparency, and convenience.
The iconic power of cubes is now in Orbit
Combine the powerful functionality of cubes with the flexibility of audience workbooks to create dynamic data visualisations. You can now use one and two dimension cubes to display multiple measures with reworked cube properties, a custom colour scale and swappable dimensions and measures.
Audiences: Selector picklist improvements
We’ve improved the usability of selector picklists so that categories load automatically. Users also now have an option to display selected categories first (via the sort by drop down menu), the ability to select all, when all categories are loaded (via the header row tick box) and the option to hide categories with zero values/no records.
Audience workbooks: Working with dates
We’ve reworked date range selections, adding relative start/end dates, more pre-defined date ranges, and financial dates (Including years, halves, and quarters) are also now available, where supported.
Campaigns: Manual campaign approval
Users now have the ability to manually approve or reject pending communications before proceeding with a campaign broadcast in Apteco Orbit.
Explore your data with Audience workbooks
As part of our drive to bring more analytics into Orbit we have re-engineered Orbit Audiences, laying the groundwork for more advanced analytics and visualisation features.
Expressions as filters in Audiences and Dashboards
You can now harness their full potential by incorporating them into the calculation of filters in both audiences and dashboards.
Data grids as dashboard tiles
With data grid dashboard tiles, you can now view and interact with your data in a table format, right from your dashboard. This powerful new functionality allows you to view records on individual lines or as a single page view.
Text variables as dimensions in Dashboards
You can now apply text variables as dimensions on dashboard tiles. When a text variable is used, 'category display' is now enabled with the default top 1000 and 'omit zeros' applied.
SSO with OpenID Connect
We've added support for the OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocol when using Single Sign On (SSO) within Apteco, dramatically simplifying the configuration required for SSO.
Temporary URN files in dashboard filters
Dashboard users can now choose uploaded URN/Reference Key files to be marked as temporary in dashboard user filters, including pre-defined filters.
Build campaign journeys in Apteco Orbit
Connect your data and channels, extract actionable insights to build and refine your ideal target audience, then personalise your messages, automate and monitor your campaigns – all from one platform.

Orbit users can now export an audience to an FTP or File channel, which can then be used and modified in Apteco Orbit and PeopleStage.

Orbit users can now automate email campaigns to run on a recurring schedule, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Expression measures can now be used in Apteco Orbit dashboards

Search improvements in Apteco Orbit
The variable search function in Orbit has been enhanced to ensure finding attributes or variables is quicker and more efficient.
Python integration improvements

You can upload, or upload and broadcast an Audience to one of the many email service providers (ESPs) that Apteco already integrates with. Within Orbit, you can create a target Audience and then export directly to an ESP.
