International Women's Day - 8 March 2021

Posted: 08 Mar 2021

A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change.

So, let's all choose to challenge.

This year, the theme for International Women’s Day (8 March), “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world,” celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the gaps that remain.

At Apteco we challenge the stereotypes and believe that any job, is a women’s job.

In her statement for International Women's Day UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka said:

"We need women’s representation that reflects all women and girls in all their diversity and abilities, and across all cultural, social, economic and political situations. This is the only way we will get real societal change that incorporates women in decision-making as equals and benefits us all."

In 2021, Apteco would like to highlight and celebrate the achievements of the women that we work with, to raise awareness against bias and act for equality in order to forge an equal world. Over the course of March, we will showcase the 'Women of Apteco' on social media, both to applaud their career successes and to relate to their challenges as mothers and businesswomen in a COVID-19 world.
