We introduced Orin, Apteco’s new AI assistant, knowledge guide, data navigator, and solution builder. Orin can now generate instant summaries of dashboards and help to quickly locate your most recent content.
Enhancements to Apteco CDP streamline transactional data loading, automate and enable manual record merges, simplify system builds, and improve data mapping accuracy.
Dashboard and cube updates improve filtering and visual analysis, while pattern match and behavioural modelling enhancements enable more accurate transactional analysis, trend tracking, and point-in-time evaluation.
Use external attributes to personalise your messages in Orbit campaigns and campaign folders now have status indicator badges so you can instantly assess campaign health directly from your folder view.

Work smarter with Orin: AI-powered guidance and intelligent navigation
Designed to help you work smarter and faster, Apteco’s new AI assistant Orin provides three levels of assistance depending on your bundle level. The first level is a knowledge guide to help you understand platform capabilities, level two a data navigator to help you explore tables, variables, values, and resources, and level three is a solution builder to help you create resources with confidence.
When Orin builds a new solution, like an audience, you’ll see a confirmation dialogue before it’s finalised, giving you an opportunity to review and approve the output. This ensures you're satisfied with the AI-generated output before proceeding.
Orin now also has the ability to analyse dashboard content and generate intelligent dashboard summaries, providing instant, shareable overviews of key insights and visualisations.
To help you quickly locate your most recently updated dashboards, audiences, and campaigns, Orin can now help you find recently updated content - surfacing the most relevant results, and filtering or sorting them to match your needs.
And if you need to verify your setup or report an issue, Orin can now provide its current version number on request.
Greater control, automation and efficiency across the Apteco CDP
You can now load transactional data directly into the Apteco Customer Data Platform, creating hierarchical relationships between transaction types and individuals. This enables multi-level transactional structures - such as orders and order items - all linked to individual customer records, with support for incremental updates and custom attributes.
Orbit also allows you to schedule automatic record merges in your CDP using existing identity resolution rules. These rules run at regular intervals, identifying and consolidating duplicates that were not matched during initial data loads. In addition, you can manually merge duplicate individual records that automated identity resolution has not linked, giving you direct control when duplicates are identified through supporter contact, data audits, or external systems.
When building a new system using Apteco CDP data, you can now add all mapped CDP tables and defined transaction tables, along with their relationships, in a single step - removing the need to configure each table individually.
During data import, custom attributes automatically map to table columns by name, regardless of capitalisation, spaces, or underscores. And to prevent duplicate mappings, assigned columns are removed from the selection dialogue once mapped.
Enhanced dashboards, pattern analysis, and behavioural modelling for deeper insights
You can now copy dashboard tiles across multiple tabs, saving time when replicating your dashboard structure. Select categories on profile tiles and add them to your user filters on your dashboard. And add custom expressions as columns in dashboards or audience workbooks, allowing calculated fields to combine with standard variables for a single export.
Pattern match transactional analysis has been enhanced with two new options for manually creating numeric patterns: ongoing sum (S) and ongoing mean (M). The ability to specify minimum or maximum intervals between transactions has been extended beyond days to include weeks, months, quarters, or years.
Category grouping aggregation now supports linear trend outputs, helping you monitor customer engagement and the impact of marketing activities over time. Cube views are more flexible - you can shrink cells, display thematic shading as a heat map, and apply ‘Best fit’ to all cells at once, making it easier to spot correlations, anomalies, or missing data.
Behavioural modelling improvements allow you to template models with dimensions using multiple transaction table variables. Transactional data automatically populates grids for detailed analysis, you can include activity on a point-in-time when defining features, and event-driven modelling scenarios now allow flexible point-in-time selection with caution prompts to ensure accuracy.
Smarter personalisation and clearer campaign management
You can now use external attributes to personalise your messages in Orbit campaigns. External attributes are custom data fields stored in your external database. These give you more flexibility to tailor messages based on customer data that sits outside your core system. You also have the ability to select specific categories within each attribute for precise targeting.
Message personalisation now also features expandable content fields and split branches. Branches appear nested within their parent content field for clearer visual hierarchy. You can also change content types and delete elements without affecting the entire structure.
Campaign folders now display status badges that show the number of campaigns requiring approval and campaigns with errors, both grid and list views. You have immediate visibility into folder status without needing to open individual campaigns.
You can now rename and delete folders directly from the option menu while viewing the folder's contents, with changes reflected immediately in the breadcrumb navigation.
